Your Contribution Can Make Every Vote Count

Support Democratic Integrity in Sierra Leone

Since 2002, the National Election Watch (NEW) has stood as a guardian of democracy in Sierra Leone. As a coalition of over 450 national and international civil society and non-governmental organizations, NEW has been instrumental in promoting free, fair, transparent, and peaceful elections across the country.

What began as a mission to observe the electioneering process has evolved into a nationwide effort to monitor the entire electoral cycle — from voter registration and campaign activities to election day operations, vote tallying, and post-election dispute resolution. Our work ensures that every phase of the electoral process is conducted with credibility, inclusivity, and accountability. But we can’t do it alone.

Why Your Donation Matters

Democracy is not just about casting votes — it’s about protecting the systems that make every vote meaningful. Your donation will help us:

  • Train and deploy independent election observers nationwide
  • Monitor electoral processes with real-time reporting and evidence-based analysis
  • Educate voters, particularly women, youth, and marginalized communities
  • Promote peace and prevent conflict during tense political periods
  • Advocate for lasting electoral reforms that strengthen democratic institutions

Every cedi, dollar, or euro you give directly supports the integrity of elections and empowers Sierra Leoneans to have a voice in shaping their future.
